Friends,

The 2008 election is one of the most important we have faced in recent history. Our Republican Party is preparing to wage a battle to retain the White House and regain our majorities in the US Congress. From time to time I will forward these presentations to you.

Rediscover Your Party: Episode 4

Highlighting the importance of keeping spending in-check through accountability and transparency

The third episode of the Rediscover series features Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Congressman Patrick McHenry (R-NC) discussing the importance of keeping spending in-check through accountability and transparency.  Congresswoman Blackburn also points out the Democrats’ dangerous “tax and spend” addiction they have carried out since taking over Congress. And Congressman McHenry underscores the importance of trusting the American people with more of their own hard-earned money.

September 2007

Earlier this year the Tucson City Council proposed the so called “Neighborhood Preservation Zone.”  This ill conceived scheme not only would have taken away basic property rights but would certainly prompt multiple lawsuits which would have mired the City in needless litigation for years at enormous cost to all tax payers.

Instead the Council did pass a compromise ordinance which seemed to assuage concerns from both sides.  Good solution?  Well…… sort of.

The neighborhood crazies weren’t finished though.  They never are.  In the dark of night they influenced the City Attorney’s office to add language to a new but totally unrelated building code which would seriously delay any demolition to buildings within the 1953 city limits while the City decides whether to buy the property or find a new private buyer.  What?

Councilwoman Uhlich commented, “We do our job with the whole community in mind”.  Really?  When did property confiscation become part of your job description?

City attorney Mike Rankin, an apparent co conspirator, quipped, “If they feel they have a prop 207 claim they should sue”.

Friends, how much longer should we stand by as our basic constitutional rights are eroded by this gang of social engineers?  When people tolerate abuse by their elected officials it only emboldens them further.  It’s time to rise in opposition isn’t it?

Friends, in the history of the US Congress we’ve witnessed several low points but few rival what occurred when General David Petraeus, a man of great honor and integrity, a Democrat, a leader who has inspired his troops and created a new strategy in Iraq testified before Congress.

Led by their Move On.org and Code Pink allies Democrats have used their many 527 henchmen as proxies in their war – not against terror but their greater war with George W. Bush.  The disgusting Move On ad run in the New York Times was a deliberate attack on a senior General and his troops serving on the field of battle.

Democrat congressional leadership – not strangers to pontificating in front of cameras and microphones – have silently stood by as their gunmen attempt an assassination on the General.

Arizona’s own Gabby Giffords has received nearly $7,000 from Move On.org.  How long will Gabby stand by as this shame is committed?  When will Giffords really stand up and denounce Move On.org by returning their political gifts to her?  Otherwise talk is cheap as she allows these radicals to do her bidding and exactly what she wants them to do.

Call Gabby at 881-3588 and let her know you don’t appreciate her support from radicals. Tell her to return every penny she has received from Move On.org and other hate groups.
